Having a cast on her arm didn’t stop Lynn from snapping this picture of a Cooper’s Hawk in our back yard. Call me weird (my mom always did) but I find it comforting to know there are birds of prey in the neighborhood.

Gorgeous! I wish I had a more clever comment to make, but I just wanted to voice my appreciation over this lovely bird of prey. I wish we had more around here. We occasionally get bald eagles, but mostly we just have red tailed hawks.
