Hawk in the Courtyard

Cooper's Hawk
This one was taken (by Lynn) in our front courtyard; a part of our house featured briefly in Nocturnal Battle. It’s amazing how much wildlife (natural and supernatural) you can find just outside your door.

I wish I got to see birds like that out here… Coolest ones I get to see in my backyard are hummingbirds!

The only bird that hangs out in my backyard is a dead blue jay. I blame the cats that hang out there too.

You’ve been lucky enough to have two different hawks. This one (July 2) is a Broad-winged Hawk. The previous one is a Cooper’s. And man, these are excellent photos.
